Bollywood style diva Sonam Kapoor’s latest film ‘Khoobsurat’, whose trailer was launched on Monday, has landed in a controversy already! Apparently the film has a song ‘Anjan ki seeti mein maro man dole…’ which is featured in the trailer sounds very similar to one of Anu Malik’s previous songs.
Reacting to the news of her latest song being taken from Alka Yagnik’s track composed by Anu Malik for Jeetendra-Jaya Prada starrer, MAA, Sonam Kapoor took to Twitter on Tuesday morning where she said that the song is in fact a traditional Rajasthani folk song and not a copy of Anu Malik song.
An angry Sonam Kapoor wrote, “It’s a pity you don’t do research before writing articles, ‘Anjun ki seeti’ is an old Rajasthani folk song!” she further wrote, “It’s a pity journalists…write articles without an iota of responsibility. A few bad apples really spoil the basket.”
Soon after that, Sona Mohapatra backed Sonam’s point as she tweeted, “Anjan ki seeti mein maro man dole is a traditional Rajasthani folk song and not an Anu Malik song and it’s expected that a paper should research such facts before taking Any Malik or the internet seriously.”
According to reports ‘Khoobsurat’, which is a remake of veteran filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1980 hit film by the same name featuring Rekha, has already bought the rights of the original Rajasthani song from its music label.
Meanwhile, the film’s trailer has received 442,833 hits in just 24 hours! ‘Khoobsurat’ is co-produced by Sonam’s sister Rhea and Disney.
During the trailer launch of the film Rhea Kapoor, who had made her debut as a producer in 2010 with Aisha, said that she was not interested in making “depressing” films but ones having an exhilarating theme. “I am quite excited about ‘Khoobsurat’. There were challenges but it was fun. I want to make happy-fun films. I don’t want to make depressing films,” Rhea told the reporters.
Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film also stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan as the lead with Sonam Kapoor. ‘Khoobsurat’ is a fairy-tale rom-com and is set to release on September 19.

The Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania actor who was hanging out last night with her dear friends was seen wearing rather funky accessories

Alia Bhatt was seen at a posh restaurant last night probably celebrating the success of her latest release with Karan Johar and Sidharth Malhotra. The actor was seen in a casual avatar, in a baby pink tank top, topped with a printed scarf, washed out denims and black booties.
But what really grabbed eyeballs was the chunky accessories Alia was sporting in both her hands. In one hand, Alia wore a gorgeous golden statement ring and in the other hand she wore a dainty bracelet link chain and ring.
We loved how she kept the look simple but decked up her pretty hands! Alia is known to dress minimally and she hardly upsets the fashion police. We think that her trendsetting big ring and bracelet link chain ring fashion will catch on!

Who will star in Dhyan Chand biopic; Shah Rukh Khan or Ranbir Kapoor?

At a time when Bollywood is smitten by sportsmen spirit and their lives, news of new film being made on hockey legend Dhyan Chand are surfacing. Be it Bhaag Milkha Bhaag or the latest on the block Mary Kom, filmmakers are in awe of sports personalities.
According to latest reports the film will be helmed by Ila Bedi Dutta, who penned Agneepath, and will be produced by Pooja Shetty.
A leading publication reports that Shah Rukh Khan had been approached for this role, but the filmmakers haven't heard from him for a while now. And now, they are keen on getting Ranbir Kapoor on the block for the main lead role.
Earlier, Ila Bedi was quoted as saying, "I met Shah Rukh to discuss the project. To us, he is the perfect choice for Dhyan Chand. Though we haven't heard from him yet, we expect him to sign the dotted line."
Also, Abhishek Bachchan, SRK's co-star in their next film Happy New Year, feels that Shah Rukh can do justice to the role.
At Pro Kabaddi League, Abhishek Bachchan, who owns Jaipur Pink Panthers, said, "A sportsman whose life will be fantastic on screen is Major Dhyan Chand. It will be an unbelievable story. These are the stories that need to be told. I told Shah Rukh Khan (during the shoot of Happy New Year) to make a film on it and play the protagonist, because he looks a lot like him. If you see his photo, you ust need to change Shah Rukh's hair a bit. Shah Rukh was a hockey player. I think he will be fantastic."

Well... lets see, who confirms the news first. But the question is, whom do you want to see as Dhayan Chand on the big screen?

Fanny Fernandes is a quirky, satirical tale about five individuals, who find a meaning to their otherwise mundane lives, in the course of their relentless search for Stefanie Fernandes aka Fanny! Top 6 Eid Songs for the festive season

  • salman-khan-in-a-song-from-kickSalman Khan still from 'Jumme ki Raat'
It is the time of the year that all of us really look forward to. Whether it is about the delectable Mughlai food or the entertaining Bollywood films, Eid has been a festival that brings with it a flavour of celebration and rejoicing.
On this auspicious occasion of Eid, we bring you 10 songs that sets the right mood for the day. Eid Mubarak!
Arziyan (Delhi 6):
With the Jama Masjid being captured beautifully through the camera angles, this song is the most perfectly pitched song for the festive season. Picturised during an actual Eid prayer, Rakesh Mehra's film might not have got the honours as expected, but the visual treat that this song had along with the soulful rendition by two musical stalwarts- Kailash Kher and Javed Ali, stood out beautifully. Both a treat to the eyes and the ears!
Noor-e-Khuda (My Name is Khan):
An enchanting ode to the Almighty, Shankar-Ehsan-Loy created a gem in 'Noor-e-Khuda'. The lovely, melodious number was magical on the spiritual level and it somehow helped us transcend to another level altogether. A beautifully penned prayer to God, the song tried breaking the boundaries of nationality, communalism and race with a powerful message. That one scene where Shah Rukh Khan's Rizwan does the namaaz on the road is capable of moving one to tears.
Yoon Shabnami (Sawaariya):
Sawaariya definitely was a dumb show but Sanjay Leela Bhansali painted an artistic picture of Eid with the 'Yoon Shabnami' number. Flowing white muslim kurtas with that trademark taqiyah, the song featured a bunch of Muslims swaying to the number in an exceptionally picturesque number. Sanjay Bhansali's cinematic brilliance came out to the fore in the way he portrayed the earnest wait for the moon and the delight that comes post it.
Bismillah (Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbaai Dobaara):
Akshay Kumar in a Pathani suit. Check. An urban peppy number. Check. The flavour of Eid popped in. Check. 'Bismillah' was a total hit!
Jashn (Bobby jasoos):
The song in itself is titled 'Jashn' which means celebration. With Vidya Balan calling everyone to join her for the Jashn on Eid, this song is a must have on the Eid playlist!
Jumme ki Raat (Kick):
No Eid is complete without a Salman Khan film and a spectacularly catchy Salman Khan number. This Eid, everyone is certainly getting their Kick from this raunchy, high octane groovy number that has sent the nation into a tizzy. Busting music charts all over, this is the hot and happening song of the season, for this year at least!
